Microsoft has talked a bit more about its upcoming Halo 5: Guardians first-person shooter, emphasizing that it will deliver a huge experience once it launches later this fall on the Xbox One, and that developer 343 Industries has already implemented some jaw-dropping features.

Halo 5: Guardians is set to be Microsoft's heavy hitter this holiday season for the Xbox One, as even though other exclusives are set to appear in the same time frame, such as Forza Motorsport 6, few command such a following like the Halo series does.

Halo 5: Guardians will be a huge and innovative game

Now, while talking on The Inner Circle podcast, via DualShockers, Microsoft's Global Director of Games Marketing, Aaron Greenberg, confirms that the Halo 5 project is a huge one that will probably result in the biggest entertainment release of the year.

He emphasizes that the story will be a superior one, as developer 343 Industries is using the two main protagonists, Master Chief and Locke, in order to tell an intense narrative that will delight those who want to play through it alone or with a friend.

"The game is just super-innovative. I think this is a title that 343 has dreamed of making, and they’re innovating in ways that our jaws are dropping. It’s such a deep story. I play multiplayer and I enjoy it, but I just love to get deep in the campaign and co-op you know, and Halo was kind of the birth of that, and also at the same time has innovated the multiplayer, so I’m excited with what they’re doing with Halo 5, and we’ll be revealing more soon," he says.

Greenberg also mentions that, from his perspective as a marketing man, Halo 5 will be quite easy to sell to customers, but at the same time he and his team need to do a solid job in order to match the quality of the shooter coming from 343 Industries.

You can expect to hear much more about Halo 5: Guardians at GDC 2015 in March and E3 2015 in June.
