The development team at 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft are continuing to deliver new content for the Hunt the Truth promotion for Halo 5: Guardians, asking players to explore the mysteries behind the existence of Master Chief and his actions.

The entire promotion is based on the idea that a journalist is trying to explore a variety of unclear elements associated with the life of the biggest hero of humanity, who might not be exactly who we know him as.

This week's episode of Hunt the Truth focuses on the reaction of the fictional public to the information that has been gathered about Master Chief so far.

The Office of Naval Intelligence emerges as the villain of the story once again, and several potential theories are explored.

There are six more episodes remaining, and the promotion will culminate with a special reveal that will take place at the E3 2015 trade show.

Halo 5: Guardians is a big name and as such it requires special advertising campaigns from Microsoft, designed to appeal to both long-term fans of the franchise and to those who might be unfamiliar with it.

Information seen in a new promotional trailer for the Xbox One also suggests that, in the coming days, a new content linked to the series will be announced, allowing gamers to join a treasure hunt as long as they have a smartphone and they live in the United States or the United Kingdom.

Halo 5: Guardians aims to revolutionize both single and multiplayer

Limited information about the single-player story of the title has been offered, although two live-action trailers suggest that gamers will be able to experience the narrative from the perspective of both Master Chief and Agent Locke.

The cover image for Halo 5: Guardians also suggests that a number of other Spartan teams will be involved.

On the multiplayer front, the development team at 343 Industries is aiming to add new abilities for all characters, which have been tested by the community earlier in the year.

Some members of the community love the fact that Spartans can now move faster and deploy new powers, but the team is also allowing players the option to turn them off in custom matches.

Halo 5: Guardians will be out on the Xbox One on October 27 of this year.
