The developers at 343 Industries might have not yet revealed all the core features of Halo 5: Guardians but they are offering a new hunt the Truth episode that delivers more details about the story of the title for the fan community.

After Master Chief was shown as a traitor who created a major diplomatic incident and attacked diplomats, more details about the situation are emerging.

The teams involved with Halo 5 are suggesting that a vast conspiracy is currently working to cover up information about the way ONI has used clones in order to create more Spartans to use for their covert operations.

Benjamin Giraud is aiming to deliver information to an assembly of senators while in the outer colonies a new civil war seems to be brewing, all because of the actions of Master Chief.

Gamers who like the Hunt the Truth promotional content can also use their smartphones to engage with another campaign called Hunt the Signal.

Halo 5: Guardians aims to bring the series to a new platform

Hunt the Truth is important because it allows 343 Industries and Microsoft to offer the community a lot of information that will be important for those who play the campaign of the new title.

The promotional campaign will culminate just before E3 2015, when a fuller look at the story of Halo 5: Guardians will probably be offered.

Two live action trailers for the title have already been introduced, one focused on Master Chief and another for Agent Locke, but they do not offer a clear premise for the campaign, although they do suggest that gamers will experience events from two perspectives.

343 Industries has said that it wants to have offer a narrative that attracts new fans to the franchise but also offers a lot of interesting details for those who have already played the first four titles.

The studio is also introducing a range of changes to the multiplayer for the title, with Spartans now able to sprint and use new abilities to dominate the battlefield, all of them tested in a beta stage that took place at the start of the year.

More tweaks will be made before the full game is introduced although no more testing is planned.

Halo 5: Guardians will be introduced on the Xbox One on October 27 of this year.
