The backend of the shooter has been improved

The development team at 343 Industries and Microsoft are announcing that a small content update has been launched for Halo 5: Guardians, set to be automatically downloaded by all players as soon as they log into the experience again.

The official announcement is not offering a clear look at all the changes that the two companies have made, but they do tell gamers that it includes “a variety of backend updates and improvements.”

The company is not saying if there’s any way for players of the Halo 5: Guardians beta to see the tweaks made to the game or if they will simply have to play the shooter and see whether they notice any modifications.

343 Industries is also thanking all those who are taking part in the testing process at the moment and says that all their feedback is being taken into account in order to make sure that the multiplayer side of the shooter is the best it can be when it is launched.

The studio has not mentioned when another update might be implemented for Halo 5: Guardians, but gamers can still vote between the Pegasus and Orion maps, which will be soon integrated into the title.

The developers have previously been more open about the changes implemented, so it will be rather controversial to see that patch notes are no longer offered.

Halo 5: Guardians is the most important Xbox One launch of the year

343 Industries is facing a tough period at the moment, as it needs to deal with the beta stage of Halo 5: Guardians while also continuing to work on updates for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, with a new patch set to be introduced at some point next week.

Both games are very important to the studio, their owners at Microsoft, and the Xbox One home console.

The Master Chief Collection was designed to show the way the new home console could improve the franchise, and it seems to be achieving that aim, even if it was affected by a range of problems when it was first introduced in November.

Halo 5: Guardians is even more important because it marks the future of the biggest Microsoft franchise, and the multiplayer needs to offer a solid experience in order to make it a success both critically and in terms of sales.
