After quite a few rumors, Halo 5 has been officially confirmed for the Xbox One, although its official name is apparently still undecided.

The Halo franchise is going to receive quite a few interesting additions, including a live action TV series from Steven Spielberg, as well as Halo: Spartan Assault for PC, tablets, and smartphones.

During Microsoft's E3 2013 conference, 343 Industries confirmed that a new Halo is coming to the Xbox One.

The title will take advantage of the next-gen console's power to deliver a first-person shooter experience running at 60fps, but also the cloud system to enhance the experience.

No other details were shared, and not even the name is official, as Microsoft called it simply Halo.

Expect to hear more about the new blockbuster first-person shooter in the near future. Until then, check out the reveal video above.
