The development team at 343 Industries announces that it is delivering a new update for its shooter Halo 4, which is designed to introduce an entirely new game mode, called Snapshot, while also bringing changes to other playlists.

In an official blog post announcement, the studio says that it aims to make the multiplayer experience more appealing by adding a number of modifications that the community has been asking for.

Snapshot is designed to allow just sniper kills made without zoom to count towards a team's score.

343 Industries says, "Players will still be able to zoom in, and even kill opponents whilst in-scope, but these kills will not count towards your team score. Players start with both the Beam Rifle and UNSC Sniper Rifle."

There are plenty more changes detailed in the announcement and the studio pledges that it will continue to work on Halo 4 and its multiplayer in order to keep it interesting even as other high-profile shooters are launched.
