14 DAY TRIAL // 343 Industries has confirmed that Season 1 of the Spartan Ops cooperative campaign for Halo 4 will go on a holiday hiatus and that the sixth DLC episode will be released on January 21, 2013.
Halo 4 came out last month and has since received five downloadable episodes that brought new levels and continued the story of the UNSC marines each week.
Now, during the 2012 Video Game Awards, via Joystiq, developer 343 Industries has confirmed that the first season of Spartan Ops will go on a holiday hiatus.
As such, the next chapter for the mode - Episode 6 - will be released on January 21, 2013, followed by the last four parts after that.
While 343 confirmed that its team is working on the next Halo products, including Halo 5, it has yet to decide if a second Spartan Ops season will be made.
