Microsoft is set to unveil the launch date for its upcoming Halo 4 shooter later today, as sources are already claiming that the game will be released on November 6.

Halo 4 has been awaited for quite some time by lots of fans, but not a lot of details have actually been revealed by its publisher, Microsoft, or its developer, 343 Industries.

Thankfully, after a cover story from Game Informer magazine, people learned more about the game’s story and its multiplayer.

Now, The Verge reports that Halo 4’s launch date will be revealed later today by Microsoft.

According to the website, the sci-fi first person shooter will actually be released on November 6, exclusively for the Xbox 360.

While this is still a rumor, such a launch date makes sense, although it will put Halo 4 in direct opposition to Activision’s next Call of Duty game, which should also appear at the beginning of November.

Expect to hear more about Halo 4’s launch soon.
