Yes its called a trilogy, But have you read the game description this game is the final installment to the trilogy that started from "HALO COMBAT EVOLVED" That is not stopping them from starting a new trilogy where does it say, we can only make 3 games? there is going to be a new halo game, and to rumors it says Masterchief may not even be in the new game. All we can do is wait.

if they make any more halos or halo based games they may no longer call it halo and create a whole new trilogy because if u watch to th end of the credits which i doubt many halo fans do u can see that master cheif and cortana are both alive and if u beat it on legendary you can see them heading to a new planet possibly infested with flood or other hostile creatures so future master cheif games are possible they may just no longer be called halo

i think the game should still hold the name halo. master chief is ahlo without him there isnt a halo. there cant be a game with the master chief and have it not have the name halo in it. why do u grow a brain

I beleive that Mr. Tyson is onto something. Yest, he was heading to a planet, and here may be hostiles for another Halo-based game. But we need to realize that the Mastercheif went into stasis. It could be hundreds of years before he comes out of it. It would make sense to be hundreds of years later because the ship could not have gotten far without a slipspace drive, and Cortana would be dead. AI's only last a few years. The longest (According to First Strike, by Eric Nylund) time an AI has survived was 7 years.

you are completely correct but that only refers to smart AI's. The regular AI's don't have a lifespan.

this is for the inocent bystandR. If you have a brain and you've read the book you would know that not only is Cortana a smart AI, she is probly the smartest AI ever since she was made using a clone of Dr. Halseyes brain. Besides what I've already said you have to take into account that after cortana came out of halo master chief thought she was different, cortana had taken all of the information of halo and processed it and all of that info caused her "mind" to falter so shell probably die well before her 7years are, after halo she could make a copy of herself, but the "copy" "died" in only a couple of days so that wouldn't help master cheif at all.

If you watch the video afterthe creits on Halo 3 after beating it on legendary it looks like the planet has a ring around it that the sun shows a quick reflection on

Of course there will be a Halo 4. Once the Master Chief dies then Halo dies, but the Chief is still alive. Bungie wouldn't keep him alive to die of old age or some stupid cause. We're so used to seeing the Chief die when we get killed by our foes. When the Chief dies it will have to be dramatic and gruesome, such as showing him get ripped into shreads. People are indulgent when it comes to money, Halo 4 sounds like millions, hey why not?

well i think they wont make it because at the end it shows him getting in that tube thing and saying "my work is done" so i dont think so.

You destroy the flood's planet in the mission called Cortana I think. I mean, it's called High Charity and it got destroyed.

well in my opinion they should make the fourth halo (if there is one) into another game.the only problem with that is that the boys at bungie would have one hell of a time making the new game...new. they used the same play method and gaming style in all three of the previous games.a halo movie would kill...provided they made it totally new and different from the rest of the series. i used to think that a movie following the games would be great then i got to a point when i could see the movie just by closing my eyes. so to keep even more die-hard gamers into the movie would require some intelegent thinking. maybe the movie will close the series for good. maybe not. i personally dont want to know how it ends. but my natural feeling is that it should end. whatever they decide to do it will be a great way to tie up loose ends and give the world one hell of a master chief petty officer john-117. finish the fight boys, lets end this.

Well I think that HALO3 Is not over with. with the guys at bungie Having a chance to make millions off of one movie and who says that masterchief will be in halo 4,5,6,7,8,9.........They can let a new sparten in or give the arbiter a shot they could even make a whole new game because we havent sen any halo space combat (banshee.hornet) dont count. A good idea would be to start halo 4,5,6 but master chief dies giving you a chance to step up and be a marine or be part of the covenint armada controll some halo hero's...Jonson,arbiter and villans the prophet of truth, gilty spark, These are my ideas and coment on them as you please

i think those r some good ideas, i think that they should devote a mission 2 letting the master cheif use a frigate, and the let arbiter use one of the convenant ships

I think there could be a halo 4 and if their is one i think it should be about when in the future humans discover him again and then they wake him up and they give him a new suit of armour or something and then, because it's the future the old enemy's the brutes will have got new allies and probably discover a human ship, think, omg it's the humans lets destroy them because they tried to destroy us. And then the master chief will have to save the world again, from the brutes.

Bungie has already said they are not going to make another Halo game. but it is entirely possible that they will make another game NOT CALLED HALO. the world is probably onyx or the brutes home planet. they are already in the production of the halo movie. universal and 20th century fox are making it, peter jackson is directing it. Ensemble studios are in the process of making Halo wars which is not continuing the Halo story line. Halo 4 has not been confirmed or denied, but if you did watch the end of the game and the credits, Bungie have left the game open so they could make another Halo if they decided to.

The next halo game is not going to have the name halo. It is also based on people who idolise mastercheif. They try and do the same thing as the brutes have there own planet. Nobody has ever set foot on this planet. They are going to try and destroy everthing and every brute or any other creature on the planet. The next Halo that is coming on sale is called Halo Wars and the flim is coming out very soon.

I think thy shld mak a halo4 because it wuld b kick ass. halo 4 will never be released, though there will be other halo games. halo will also never be ported over to other systems. even though bungie has parted ways with microsoft, microsoft still owns the ip for halo

my opinion is that there is going to be a Halo 4. Because at the end on legendary she says " ill wake you up when i need you " so that to me Indicates theres going to be another one. As stated above, there will most liikely be another halo game. might not be called "halo" but it will most likely happen. I call it halo 4 for lack of a better name. I think that the Chief will most likely land on one of the shield worlds and be awakened by Coratana from cryosleep because the world is controlled by the flood. If some of you think like me then you will be going "Wait! Were't the flood destroyed when the Gravemind died?" Here's where it gets interesting. There are more Flood mastermind controller thingymajigs and they're having a war because they have nothing better to do (the real reason being that the last of the sentient life on the shield world destroyed their spacecraft before the flood could gain control of them). The Flood controllers would have names that are just as ominous as the Gravemind, an example being: Corpsetaker or something similar. After surviving the flood for several days, again, the Elites, notice that they are not the covenant, respond to the Chiefs signal and send out word that there are more possible flood threats to the Elite homeworld, the remainder of the Covnant, and the humans. I'm not entirely sure where to take the story from here, but i definitely like the idea of playing as brutes, marines, and others in multiplayer. not at the same time, however, as the differences in size would make it harder to get headshots. I like the idea of Halo wars and i think that you should be able to play as the flood in some expansion or something. One last thing (that i can think of at the moment). after the amazing success of the Battlefront games, i think that Bungie should make a game similar to Battlefront. i would like that very much. P.S. I'm pissed that they killed off Jhonson. He survived the first and second halo only the be killed by the oh-so-noobish Guilty Spark! They can't make a Halo 4 based off the Halo Movie, because the Halo movie is taking place at the first Halo game :/ Halo Wars look good though.

Tyler HOW do you know that it's taking off the 1st Halo have you seen the trailer of it? I have and it takes off Halo2 and 3 mabye 4 and 5. I HAVE the trailer and SEEN it 2-3 times.

Well i think that a Halo 4 should come out and there would be up to 7 halo's because after you kill the brute leader (Tarterus?) in Halo 2, it cuts into a movie scene and Miranda Keyes asks "what that" Guilty spark says "communicating" "communicating with what?" "the other installations" "show me" then a hologram comes up with 7 Halo's (rings) spliting up with each other. Then Guilty spark says "these installations are ready for remote activation" "from here?" asks Miranda "don't be ridiculous" then Jhonson says "listen tinkabell don't make me...." "then were, were would someone activate the other rings?" asks Miranda "...why the ark..
ofcouse" says Guilty spark then Arbiter asks "then were orical.. is that?" then it goes into the credits. So it SHOULD go upto 7 halos.

Well wat I think is that maybe chief will land on the flood planet or watever hostile enemy is there and find those other lost spartans and the lady who started the spartan 11 project. Then some flood might escape the planet with master chief and his other allies and the flood that escaped will land on the other rings creating more and more gravemind. Then chief will probably activate the ark, destroying the rings along with the flood. And I also read that the halo movies main charicter most likely won't be master chief because his face doesent show. I think that's gay.

listen thhere will defenitly be a halo 4 because on legendery mode when you see that planet the light is another halo ring and on the planet there is 6 more grave minds but its the brutes planet and the flood takes it over then whwn you land ther is one prophet and he wakes mc up and asks for help then you have the brutes on your side and that ring is the first one and holds a super weapon and the flood activates it but the flood activates it from the planet and the brutes and mc use it and shoots the planet then the flood is destroyed for good then the brutes,covenent,and unsc put new mombasa back together (the city in halo two that looks like new york) and all live there there in peace until one day the covenent argue about the brutes treating them like slaves like slaves then the unsc has to diside on whoes wright then tahts where the game starts p.s listen i know because i read every halo book ever made
