Microsoft’s Xbox division boss, Don Mattrick, has confirmed that the upcoming Halo 4 shooter for the Xbox 360 would have some kind of support for the company’s upcoming Surface tablet.

Halo 4 is set to be one the biggest games of the year, even if it’s exclusive to the Xbox 360.

As you can imagine, Microsoft is banking big on the game not just to sell consoles but also to attract players to the various new features of the device, like the recently revealed Xbox SmartGlass.

According to Xbox boss Don Mattrick, Halo 4 will also have support for the upcoming Microsoft Surface tablet.

The executive admitted this feature at the GameBeat conference, via VentureBeat, but he declined to say just what this support is and how the game would be able to interact with the tablet.

While this support may just mean a sort of interface mechanic between the game and the tablet via Xbox SmartGlass, it could be much more, so look forward to hearing many details about Halo 4 as we get closer to its November 6 release date.
