Halo 4 has just received a few new details about its story, straight from its developer, 343 Industries, while a new video composed of concept art for the game was released onto the web.

Without a doubt, Halo 4 is one of next year's most anticipated games, so Microsoft, its publisher and franchise owner, together with 343 Industries, are extremely careful about what pieces of information reach the legions of Halo fans all over the world.

During last week's PAX conference, 343 Industries' creative director, Frank O'Connor let slip a few important details about the main focus of Halo 4, and how it's going to start a brand new trilogy, called the 'Reclaimer'.

"This trilogy is a direct continuation to the events in Halo 3," O'Connor said at PAX, via CVG. "It will deal with the fate of John and the fate of Cortana."

A Reclaimer, for those who aren't up to date with the Halo franchise and its own mythos, is someone who is in charge of activating the Halo superweapon, as well as other Forerunner ancient technology.

As you remember from the first trailer of Halo 4, which was showcased at the E3 2011 conference a few months ago, Halo protagonist John 'Master Chief' Connor, is roughly awoken by his virtual companion, Cortana, in order to escape the ship where he was suspended in stasis.

The 343 Industries executive also confirmed to the crowd at PAX that players are "definitely going to have the opportunity to dive deeper into John's (Master Chief's) mind in this trilogy," highlighting that a heavier focus on story will be seen with the new Halo 4 next year.

Until then, however, fans hungry for more details can enjoy a video of concept art from 343 Industries, which depicts some of the environments that will be seen in the new game next year.
