The remastered Halo 3 ODST experience for Halo: The Master Chief Collection is set to debut on May 29 for the Xbox One, at least according to a now-removed listing from the Xbox Store.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection launched back in November of last year for the Xbox One, bringing forth remastered versions of Halo 1, 2, 3, and 4 for the new console, while offering the Anniversary remake treatment to Halo 2.

While the package was eagerly awaited by millions of franchise fans, its release was filled with problems, much to the chagrin of many Xbox One users who wanted to take a walk down memory lane with Master Chief and his adventures.

Developer 343 Industries has released many big updates to resolve issues and pledged to offer extra rewards for loyal fans, such as free remastered version of Halo 3 ODST.

Halo 3 ODST arrives for Halo: MCC on May 29, apparently

After having promised a May release for ODST, which appeared as a standalone expansion for the Xbox 360 many years ago, the online Xbox Store put up a listing for the new title, alongside a May 29 release date.

The listing has since been removed but you can still admire a screenshot of the Xbox Store above, via Reddit.

No word yet from 343 Industries and Microsoft about the actual release of Halo 3 ODST for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, so expect to see an announcement in the following days.

In case you forgot, this special remastered game will be offered for free to all Xbox One owners who played The Master Chief Collection between November 11 and December 19, 2014.

It's a safe bet that, if you got the previous reward, which was a free month of Xbox Live Gold membership, you'll also receive the ODST campaign for free in the very near future, as compensation for the issues that plagued the game last year.
