Not only that, but the whole bundle sounds attractive

As even PlayStation fans would have imagined, Microsoft is prepping to roll out the Halo 3 Special Edition Console. Pictured on the left (click to enlarge), the bundle is said to include the Core Xbox 360 model (20GB HDD) with that nice army-green paint job you see, a controller, the much needed wired headset of course and tons of other cool stuff. But everyone can agree it's all about the Master-Chief-armor paint job. The package will ship to retailers this holiday season.

I picked up on the news via Engadget yesterday, but I really had to attend to some duties and I was forced to leave it for the next day... which is today. Now that I'm in front of the computer and I'm looking at this (I have to admit) gorgeous looking piece of gaming hardware, nothing comes to mind! What can one say when a Halo 3-customized Xbox 360 like this is revealed, pictures and all?

For starters, it's cool! Yes, it looks very cool! OK, now that we're past that, what else? Oh yes, it has very stylish color contrast. You see, the army-green goes beautifully with that golden-orange (both nuances are found on the Spartans' helmets if I'm not mistaken). What else? There's got to be something else to discuss about this great special edition machine from Microsoft. I know. The 3! Yeah, the nice 3 surrounded by what is supposed to be the halo, on the USB ports.

OK, enough is enough. As Xbox.com themselves report, "this new Special Edition contains these components:

Halo 3 Special Edition Console Halo 3 Special Edition Wireless Controller Halo 3 Special Edition 20GB Hard Drive Halo 3 Special Edition Wired Headset Halo 3 Special Edition Gamer Pics and Theme (Exclusive download via Xbox LIVE) Component HD AV Cable Ethernet Cable HDMI Port Play & Charge Kit Xbox LIVE Silver Membership One-month Lbox LIVE Gold Membership Halo 3 game not included-sold separately"

I can only imagine how much Halo fans are digging this right now. Patience guys, it'll be yours, just hope it'll have the red-ring-of-death issue fixed and of course, that it's going to be affordable.
