As I've reported earlier, Bungie announced that they will celebrate Halo's five-year anniversary by revealing a big surprise. They kept their word so here comes information about a Halo 3 multiplayer beta. They have scheduled this multiplayer demo for spring 2007 and it’s not sure if this beta will be meant exclusively for the
Xbox 360 (I certainly hope not
because I'm a PC fan).
But wait! There's more! Microsoft and Bungie also confirmed that
Halo fans will be able to enjoy the Halo experience to the max this holiday season, by watching a 60 seconds Halo 3 teaser ad. This marketing campaign seems quite interesting as this Halo commercial will be aired only one time.
There is also some good news for Halo 2 enthusiasts, as they have been waiting for almost two years for some new Halo 2 content. Finally, Bungie and Microsoft complied, and announced that they will release two new multiplayer maps for the game. These two new maps will be released over Xbox Live, but only on the
Xbox Marketplace. Pricing has not been yet announced and according to rumors, these new maps will be released in the spring of 2007.
