General tipsIf you have to go through closed areas like small rooms or hallways, then equip just one weapon, so you can throw grenades. The bonus is great when fighting multiple enemies, since they can't properly dodge your fire. On the other hand, if you find yourself in any open area, like a big room, or a forest, just have the two weapons ready. Grenades will be useless in this new setup. To get optimal firepower and mobility while driving, make sure you jump into the passenger seat the next time you ride a hog. You're usually better off as the gunner since the NPC marines can handle driving a lot better than you. Of course, it depends on skill, but Halo 2 players rarely get set up to show their character's skill behind a wheel.
Dragon relicOn Zanzibar, you can either grenade-jump or get one sword wielding enemy a sword for some sword-jumping all the way up there. Throw a plasma grenade at the railing in the building where the Active Camouflage can be picked up. Crouch jump on the roof or use your blade to sword cancel/jump towards the building and get on top. You'll see rocks and a little platform somewhere between. Again, using either jumping boost, get to the platform. A barrier prevents you from going further thus you should land on the bottom part. While facing the obstacle, slightly turn left and if you look really hard, you'll see a dragon made out of scratch marks.
Master Chief action figureThere is a waterfall which needs to be climbed in Delta Halo, the one which resembles a staircase. At some point, you'll land unto something that appears to be a sniper rifle case. Quick-jump to the land as you turn the bend, past the cave where the covenant snipers were spawned. The cave is a dead end but go inside anyway and take a good look at the floor. Use a sniper if you must, namely its scope to inspect the area better. A golden action mini figurine depicting the Master Chief is there, and if you shoot it, it bleeds.
Hidden swords on Halo Delta Get to the structure where you can't go any farther with the tank. As you enter into the area, go left up the ramp and then up the little ramp until you come to the large block leaning against the wall. Jump to get to the Envy Skull. Behind the large cube lies a secret entrance which is easily revealed using the tank. Grenades do the trick just the same. If you're patient, you can drive the tank near the spot. Aim at the wall to the left of the stone and not the block itself. Explosions will slowly move the obstacle out of the way. When you have enough breathing room, follow the dark ramp and you'll see two dead grunts and two swords. The next room has a
high ledge that can be grenade-jumped to. To skip the fighting inside the structure, simply grenade-jump again.
Unlimited Sword AmmoYou can do this in any two-part Campaign missions, like the Outskirts and Metropolis. Upon first level completion, if your sword has no ammo, you'll notice a difference once you reach the second part. Your sword now has unlimited ammo. Not only that, but the blade doesn't show when you arm it, although all its sound effects are in place, along with the devastating effect on your enemies.
Banshee machine gunSteal a banshee on the Metropolis map, and fly it past the point where you can find the scarab gun. You should note that you seem to hit an invisible wall. Fly downwards and be careful not to hit too many walls as you pass down the narrow tunnel at the bottom. Take the first left and there should be a red sign with an exclamation mark on it. Turn left and the extra machine gun should be there, a nice looking Plasma gun that shoots bullets.
Prophet RocketBungie decided to plant an Easter egg that previews Halo 3 right under your nose. It seems that next time Prophets will fight, so the next time you meet the Prophet of Regret, don't kill the honor guard. The trick is to run directly to him and press [X], [X], [B], [A], [Y] while equipping an energy sword. Board his ride, and he will die in just three hits from the sword. Be fast since the guards are after your guts and you're not allowed to kill them. It's important to let them live. Just complete the level afterwards and change your profile to elite. From now on, you'll have the Prophet Rocket launcher on Coagulation multiplayer map. The launcher fires three rounds at a time, which makes it twice as fast as the human launcher, but it doesn't home in.
Rocket LungeThis glitch allows you to lunge great distances. To use this glitch, you need a rocket launcher and a sword. Randomly discharge all of your rockets. Now locate an enemy. When out of sword range, take out your rocket launcher and aim at the enemy, then repeatedly press [Y] and [R], switching from one to the other. Do it fast enough and you'll lunge at the enemy.
Secret Gun on WaterWorksGrab a banshee from the blue base on WaterWorks and fly up to the top where the crusher lies. A walkway should be a bit left, so go down and make a right at the end. Pause the game and press [L], [Up], [Down], [Y], [A], [B]. Once you unpause the game, you should pull a gun of infinite ammo and good damage output straight from the ground.
Skip Sniper AlleyThere is a way to bypass a rather annoying and incredibly hard battle on the Outskirts. Once you killed the first hunter pair at the start of the level, walk through the hole in the wall they just created. You'll notice a destroyed wall to the left. Jump on that wall and keep crouch jumping to get even higher. You should reach the roof top soon enough and from here on head toward the left side. You should see part of the destroyed highway that the first pelican flies along once it has picked up the sergeant. Reach the highway and walk across. At the other side, you should see a slope and in the distance, the hotel where the next group of marines are pinned down. Jump off the highway and walk up this slope to reach the hotel, thus completely avoiding the sniper alley nightmare.
Energy sword in ZanzibarWhen you enter Zanzibar, there will be a giant windmill-looking structure. Walk there and stand in front of the spokes. Patiently wait until you can walk on the spoke, then advance to the rotation center, and off to the stone platform. Turn around so that you're facing the direction opposite to the base. Once you do that, you will see a little chamber you can walk into. Stay there and the windmill will rotate for about two seconds then you will see a small room with a floating energy sword inside. The spot can be used as a sniping area for the defenders.
Getting anywhere with bansheeThis cheat works great on headlong. You require a rocket launcher with at least one rocket, a sniper rifle, a banshee and an overshield. Since you're playing multiplayer, grab a rocket and sniper rifle before anybody else gets them. Next, make your way to banshee and fly to the overshield. Next fly to any sniping spot but do it fast because if your overshield gets in the red area, you're most likely going to commit suicide. Make sure the banshee flips over on its back with one wing on the ground pointing to the direction you want to fly. Step on the wing ball and blast the other with a rocket. It should send you flying really fast, just like you got lucky when you didn't get splattered. It will get you off any level without committing suicide and taking it to the extreme will probably land you on the highest building on headlong too!
