Halloween may not exactly be just around the corner, but that's not stopping the new Googlers at Picnik from having their fun. The online photo editor just got a bunch of holiday-specific updates which enable users to create all the spooky images they want.

"On the Picnik team, Halloween is one of our favorite times of year. We get a bit giddy anticipating our braaaaainstorm session for this holiday. We love dreaming up ghouls and ghosts that bring spooky effects to your photos," Lisa Conquergood from the Picnik team wrote.

"This October, we brought back mob favorites, like Vampire and Zombie, Lightning and Ghostify. And we’ve introduced new effects like eeriness with one click, unearthly textures and heaps of new stickers," she announced.

Users will be able to choose from a large number of effects to give their photos a scary edge. The effects are even broken down into categories, by the creature of the night you want to recreate, be it zombie, vampire and so on.

Many of the effects are pretty funny if not entirely convincible, but a couple are actually pretty slick, like Ghostify or Dracula Dermis. Of course, you're not going to use Picnik to create special effects, it's all about having some fun with your pics.

In that note, there are a bunch of decorations available as well enabling you to trick out your photo with stuff like fangs, zombie eyes, fake beards and so on. There are also Halloween stickers of pumpkins, witches, zombies and other ghostly creatures.

Finally, Picnik unveiled a few themed fonts as well to write a some creepy lines to go with your Halloween photo. You can check out all of these effects on the dedicated page over at picnik.com/halloween. Halloween may be almost a month away, but that just gives you more time to prepare.
