14 DAY TRIAL // Gabriel Aubry has proof that it’s not him, but Halle Berry who’s the verbally abusive one in their relationship. He has e-mails, text messages and phone recordings of Berry calling him names and threatening him – but he has no plans of releasing them.
As camp Berry continues to leak stories to the tabloids about how Aubry is “borderline racist” and “abusive,” the model has refrained from commenting on any of these allegations.
That’s because he’s chosen to keep quiet until a judge can decide what to do in their custody case, and because not trashing Halle in the media is in the best interest of their daughter, Nahla, Gabriel’s friends tell Radar.
He has proof that he’s none of the things Halle has been saying about him and that, on the contrary, she’s most of them: but he won’t be using it unless he has to in court.
“I honestly think Gabriel should release some of these messages he has from Halle, and tell his side of the story, but he won’t, he said he’s going to save them for family court, which will be a private, press-free environment,” says a source.
“I know it sounds like I’m painting a picture but Gabriel truly does not want to do anything at all that could potentially damage his daughter, and he knows attacking Halle in the press would ultimately do that,” the same friend explains to Radar.
Gabriel has phone messages left by Halle, in which she insults him and calls him all sorts of names, but he knows she wouldn’t want them out so he has no plans to release them.
“He could totally do a number on her if he chose to – but he’s a nice guy at the end of the day and unlike Halle, Gabe’s not concerned with the public believing he is the ‘wronged one’ and with controlling his image – he is concerned with his daughter and her welfare,” the spy says.
However, even if this friend says Gabriel won’t be releasing anything in the press, another one has a very interesting e-mail that he (Aubry) got from Halle.
“You were only good for one thing... Thanks for the donation,” the Oscar-winning actress reportedly wrote her model ex in an e-mail that Radar got a hold of.
Halle and Gabriel are now locked in a very bitter custody battle over daughter Nahla, after last year’s apparently amicable split. They weren’t married.
