Halle Berry Pregnant with Second Child

Halle Berry pregnant reports surface in the tabloid media and online, on celebrity blogs, with almost predictable repetitiveness. However, this time it’s the real deal, Life&Style magazine writes, citing a source close to the actress: Berry is three months pregnant and she and model partner Gabriel Aubry are positively ecstatic at the thought of becoming parents again.

What’s even better, the mag says citing the same (reportedly very reliable) source, is that the second time around happened without the planning and disappointment of before. While the actress and Aubry tried countless times for baby number one, daughter Nahla, the second pregnancy came as a shock even to them, the insider says. Clearly, Berry is also reportedly very happy about not having to go through the same heartbreak she suffered in 2007, when over 30 pregnancy tests returned negative before becoming pregnant with Nahla.

“Halle is overjoyed. The first time, she struggled so much to get pregnant and eventually conceived through in vitro fertilization. This time, the baby was conceived through artificial insemination. She’s just ecstatic to be pregnant again. She wasn’t sure if she’d have another baby, so she’s very happy!” the friend of the couple reveals for the magazine mentioned above. At the time of the writing, a publicist for Berry could not be contacted for comment.

The Oscar-winning actress never denied wanting to expand her family, despite holding strong to her belief that marriage would not make her any happier than she was at the moment. Halle often said in past interviews that she would love to have another child by Aubry, but insisted that she had learned her lesson and would not jump into a marriage again. A relationship was what one made of it and not what it said on a piece of paper, Berry was pointing out just recently.

“I’m so not the relationship go-to girl. But I’m much clearer about what a relationship is, which is why I will never marry again. Gabriel and I have a great partnership and a lovely daughter. But I once was stupid enough to say, in a previous relationship, ‘I’m going to be with this person for ever,’ and realized, as I grew, that I don’t know if for ever is possible.” Gabriel and I don’t look at our relationship in terms of for ever, we look at it as right here today. And today means being the best people we can be, the best parents we can be.” Halle Berry said at the time.
