14 DAY TRIAL // Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry has become a mother for the second time at the age of 47: she gave birth to a healthy baby boy, her first child with her husband Olivier Martinez, over the weekend, OMG! Yahoo confirms with her publicist.
Fans probably know that this is Halle’s second child: she has a daughter, Nahla, with her ex-boyfriend, model Gabriel Aubry.
The publicist says that Halle gave birth at the Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles and that both mother and son are well and resting.

Halle and Olivier have been together since 2010, when they met and fell in love on the set of a movie. She was just coming out of her relationship with Aubry, which didn’t end well at all because the two continued to fight in court for years afterwards over custody of Nahla.
They were married in July this year, in a secret ceremony in France. Some months before, in April, Halle had announced she was expecting, saying that the news took her by surprise as well.
“This has been the biggest surprise of my life to tell you the truth. I thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me. So it's been a big surprise and the most wonderful,” she said at the time, effectively denying reports that she’d undergone IVF for many months before she got pregnant.
After the announcement came speculation on whether she planned to move with the baby and Olivier to France, where she’d also tried to take Nahla on the grounds that the paparazzi here were less aggressive than those in LA.
A judge denied her request of permanently moving with her daughter to France because she still had another parent in the US, Aubry.
Eventually, Martinez himself said that would not be the case.
“My son will be an American, but I remain French,” he said in an interview.
