Halle Berry is branching out: the actress has just announced she'll be coming out with her own shoe line in March this year. For the time being available only in the UK, the limited-edition collection promises to be the solution to every stylish girl's problem.

In a context in which more celebrities are looking into designing opportunities, it's no wonder someone as stylish as Halle is also taking this step.

Vibe Vixen says that 5th Avenue by Halle Berry will include 40 pieces, mostly for spring and summer wear, in a bid to show that the perfect shoe is what makes – or breaks – the perfect outfit.

“Women have always loved shoes. It’s like if your hair is not right and your shoes are not right, the woman is not right. If both of them are right, you’re pretty much OK,” Halle says in a statement.

“And shoes are a statement,” she adds. “They can say something about where you are in the day; they can say what your mood is; they give you a chance to accessorize.”

The limited collection will include mostly wedges and sandals with high heels, perfect for summer outings and date nights.

“I’m a girl that loves to change my shoes all the time. It’s an expression of who you are really. I’m a girl if I find a shoe that I really like I like to get them in all colors. I’m big on that,” the star adds.

For the time being, there's no release date for the US but fans here should probably expect one, if the UK version is well received.

Halle is not the only stylish star to launch a shoe line that would help fans replicate some of her most famous looks.

Cheryl Cole, another shoe-freak, has also come out with her own collection, inspired, she says, of her love of shoes that look a killer without actually being one for your heels.

In a recent interview, the diminutive singer revealed that she was so obsessed with shoes she actually had over 2,000 pairs of them, as we also reported at the time.

The decision to come out with her own line, as noted above, was prompted by years of painful experience, when she had to suffer in silence just to be able to wear her favorite heels.

Unfortunately, Cheryl's shoe line was not welcomed with the warmest reviews, with many upset customers saying she used cheap materials and designs that had already been made famous by someone else.
