Halle Berry is engaged to Olivier Martinez, various media outlets confirm just days after rumor broke that she might have a special announcement to make about a certain ring on her engagement finger. Right after New Year's Eve, Halle was photographed by paparazzi rocking a massive, new ring on her finger, sending the rumor mill into overdrive.
Even though she's always said she didn't want to give marriage another (third) try, she has had a change of heart ever since she started dating Olivier Martinez.

Us Weekly and Radar Online confirm the happy news, though they don't have it straight from the actress' publicist.
“Third time’s the charm for Halle Berry! The 45-year-old actress and Olivier Martinez are engaged, a source confirms […]. Over the holidays, Martinez, 46, proposed with an emerald-and-diamond ring from Gurhan,” Us Weekly writes.
However, it's a known fact that such vague “confirmations” usually precede the official statement from a publicist – so, for the time being, it should suffice.
Radar Online also says that Martinez finally popped the question and even goes farther than that, saying that Halle is also dying to have his baby, wherefrom her decision to marry again.
“Halle is very serious about this marriage. She’s ready,” an unnamed source says for Radar.
“Olivier has become her rock. Halle feels Olivier has made a connection and a commitment to her and her daughter,” adds another spy.
Halle and Olivier are also thinking about expanding their family with another child.
“Halle would love to have more kids, but she knows it might be difficult because of her age and the fact that she’s diabetic,” the tipster notes.
“If they can’t conceive, they’d definitely consider adoption. Deciding to marry again is huge for Halle. But friends have never seen her this happy and fulfilled,” the spy further says.
