The Valve developers have been releasing their catalog of games at a steady pace, and now Half-Life: Source and Half-Life Deathmatch: Source have officially exited the Beta stages.

Valve is committed to porting all their games on the Linux platform, even the less famous and successful ones.

When Half-Life: Source was initially launched, players thought that it was the first game remade with the new engine. Unfortunately, very few new Source technologies had been implemented and the game was a disappointment.

Valve has now released a new patch that takes out of beta the two games, Half-Life: Source and Half-Life Deathmatch: Source.

According to the changelog, official support has been added for Half-Life: Source, and threaded performance has been improved on the Linux and Mac OS X platforms.

More details about these games can be found in the announcement.
