Fede Alvarez, the director of the upcoming Evil Dead reboot, wants to make a Half-Life movie adaptation, although he himself admits that it's tricky because there are other parties interested in the video game franchise.
Half-Life fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Episode 3 or of a full-fledged Half-Life 3 but, unfortunately, developer Valve isn't focusing on such projects, at least in an official manner.
In recent years, however, the odds of seeing a Half-Life movie have increased, particularly after reported talks between Valve boss Gabe Newell and noted film director J.J. Abrams.
Now, another filmmaker, Fede Alvarez, has expressed interest in such a thing, talking to Yahoo Movies about a Half-Life movie project.
"I really want to make a 'Half-Life' movie at some point – but I’d heard it was impossible because Spielberg wanted to make it. That’s definitely one that I’ve always dreamed of making into a movie though."
As of yet, however, Valve apparently isn't interested in any movie adaptations of its video games.
