Valve has issued a statement concerning the recent Half-Life 3 report that surfaced yesterday, confirming that the article is "bogus."

Millions of fans eagerly await a Half-Life 3 or at least a Half-Life 2: Episode 3 iteration but Valve is apparently content with not talking about the whole thing and focusing on other properties like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Team Fortress 2, or Dota 2.

A new report appeared yesterday claiming that Half-Life 3 is in development for the PC and Mac and that it will be revealed sometime in 2014.

Valve has released a statement on the matter, via CVG, confirming that the article is "bogus" and that, when it's ready to make an announcement, it will do it officially.

As such, Half-Life fans will have to keep on waiting for any reference to a new installment.
