A mention of Half-Life 3 has been found on Valve's internal JIRA bug tracker system, although it's quite possibly a fake posted by someone with access to the website.

Half-Life 3 is anxiously awaited by millions of gamers from around the world, but developer Valve isn't eager to talk about the project.

Now, thanks to a Reddit member, a mention of Half-Life 3 was found on Valve's internal bug tracker system, as apparently a player submitted a complain regarding graphical artifacts that appear when the game is started.

The entry is quite possibly a fake, but there was some evidence found that the submitter of the claim was a Valve employee.

As of yet, no other details are known, so take this mention with a huge grain of salt, especially since Valve is currently preparing to release the public version of Dota 2 soon.
