Half-Life 2 is a first-person shooter developed by Valve that was released back in 2004 and that has recently been ported on the Linux platform. The patches have started arriving.

Porting a complex title such as Half-Life 2 is a very difficult task, and the developers have released a lot of updates, even after the game exited the Beta version.

Highlights of the latest Half-Life 2 update:

• A missing set_sdk_env.bat file has been added for the Source SDK; • The localization has been updated for all the languages; • The dmxconvert and maya plugins have been updated in order to help when using the Source SDK; • A bad material type that appeared on the boards at the end of d1_canals_01a has been corrected; • The Vortigaunt model is no longer displayed incorrectly if the user started directly on ep2_outland_04.

More details about this update can be found in the official announcement.
