NVIDIA mails out green crowbars to give people a heads up

Did you like Half Life 2? If you own an NVIDIA Shield handheld game console, you might be glad to learn that Valve's game is coming to the android platform.

Using NVIDIA's GameStream suite, Shield can stream video games running on a PC equipped with GeForce GTX 650 or higher.

Things might be going one step further though. It's one thing to stream games from PC and another to actually have a title adapted for the Android platform.

Based on the green crowbars and “What would Gordon do?” queries, it's easy enough to figure out that Half Life 2 is coming to Android.

I honestly didn't play Half Life 2, but I did complete the first game, Half Life, ages ago. Xen was a bit dreary, and the end of the game was really depressing in how the main character only had two nasty choices, which was really only one because the other ensured your death.

Still, the game was, overall, enjoyable, and set a good stage for the second one. Which, like the first, had the crowbar as your first available weapon. According to the guy who gives it to you, it might even be the same one from the first game (well, a guy can dream, right?).

It's not clear if Half Life 2 will only be available on NVIDIA or any Android platform. Probably the former, because it's not exactly something you can play using a touchscreen alone, so tablets are a no go. Then again, game controllers do use USB.
