14 DAY TRIAL // Developer Josh Presseisen this week decided to offer his brilliant Hairy Tales puzzler for free on the Mac App Store, and I highly recommend that you grab it.
I’m not much of a gamer these days, though I used to play a lot of games as a kid. For some reason, I no longer feel that edge when grasping a controller. Same goes for the mouse & keyboard combo when shooting is involved.
But I have to admit I’m a sucker for free-download offers. Plus, free games make good news stories. So I picked up Hairy Tales and boy did I have a laugh!
The game is cleverly designed and has some beautiful graphics, not to mention a very addictive gameplay scheme where you twist around floating islands to make a path for a crazed Neanderthalian, so he doesn’t fall off into the abyss. But trust me, you’ll want to mess up on purpose just to hear the guy scream.
It’s hilarious, and it’s certainly worth whatever it costs normally. Now that it’s free, it’s even more worth your while. You can download Hairy Tales on any Snow Leopard Mac (OS X 10.6).
