Every player on the market wants to be an iPod killer, the only difference is that only few of them can actually be one. Haier is one company that dreams of kicking Apple's a*s one day, therefore it comes natural to launch an item that features some cool specs like this one.

The player's design line resembles the one of the iPod, being probably a little bit thick and not that shinny and all, but revealing the same sex appeal as Apple's item.

Besides having AOL Video on board, the player also boasts Rhapsody Internet radio integration. But, maybe the best feature in the player's specs list is its wireless download and streaming songs and videos support. But hey, there is no PC required from this WiFi-enabled portable media player, not to mention it can also deal with podcasts.

As extra specs, the player was equipped with an FM tuner, as well as USB 2.0 file transfer interface and Bluetooth 2.0. You can feed it with lots of file formats on the market, such as MPEG-4, WMV, M4V, AVI, H.264 and MPG for video content, as well as MP3, WMA, WAV and AAC for the audio ones.

As Technabob reports, the PMP retails online for about 229 bucks a piece and even more pricey for a player with wireless streaming. As for its design line, the player is indeed well built, features an attractive form factor. Fortunately, the player comes equipped with about 30GB of internal storage capacity, enough to suit just about all the music you need on the go. All in all, there is still enough work to take care of until being able to compete with the heaviest names in the industry.
