LulzSec and Anonymous have published an open letter addressed to the FBI and other law enforcement agencies in which they boldly claim that they can't be stopped.

In their letter, the hackers comment statements made by FBI deputy assistant director Steve Chabinsky following the recent Anonymous and LulzSec-related arrests.

"We want to send a message that chaos on the Internet is unacceptable, [even if] hackers can be believed to have social causes, it's entirely unacceptable to break into websites and commit unlawful acts," Chabinsky told the National Public Radio (NPR).

The hackers responded that for them it is unacceptable for governments to lie to their citizens and spread fear in order to control them, for corporations to conspire with those governments and earn billions in federal contracts that they don't fulfill, and for lobby groups to infiltrate governments in order to push their own agenda.

"These governments and corporations are our enemy. And we will continue to fight them, with all methods we have at our disposal, and that certainly includes breaking into their websites and exposing their lies," the hackers said.

They reiterated that they aren't scared of being arrested and that such actions will only enrage the public even more. "It is our mission to help these people and there is nothing - absolutely nothing - you can possibly to do make us stop," the hacktivists stressed.

The hackers also took issue with Chabinsky's statement that the World Wide Web cannot be allowed to become the Wild Wild West. In response to this they pointed out that the Internet has always been the Wild Wild West because no one was ever in control of it.

"That does not mean that everyone behaves like an outlaw. You see, most people do not behave like bandits if they have no reason to. We become bandits on the Internet because you have forced our hand," the hacktivists conclude before ending their letter with their usual warning: "Expect us."
