Black Tiger Security has taken credit for the alleged data breach

A hacker collective called Black Tiger Security has published a list of over 6,700 account credentials they allegedly obtained from Motorcycle Industry Jobs (motorcycleindustryjobs.com).

At press time the website was “down for maintenance,” which may indicate that the site has been compromised.

Another clue that shows a possible connection between the data leak and the Motorcycle Industry Jobs website is the fact that many of the usernames seem to be motorcycle-related.

The Pastebin paste made public by the hackers contains usernames, password hashes and email addresses, but the reasons for which the website became a target are not mentioned.

Since the company’s website is down, we have no way of contacting them, but we’ll try to find out more on the breach and what has been done to remove the potential risks as soon as we can.

Update. Motorcycle Industry Jobs has responded to our inquiry. They state that the breach has occured during a "complete overhaul." The passwords leaked by the hackers are no longer valid.

"We are just a niche job board and don't hold any credit card information. Why we were targeted is beyond me," said a company spokesperson.
