Hackers of the Portugal Cyber Army and ones from the HighTech Brazil HackTeam claim to have breached the official website of the Dubai International Airport, hosted on the dubaiairport.com domain.

As a result of the alleged hack, over 50 dubaiairports.ae email addresses and hashed passwords, which appear to belong to staffers, have been leaked online. Unfortunately, the encryption can be easily broken.

The hackers haven’t mentioned their reasons for targeting the Dubai International Airport website. Both collectives appear to be targeting a wide range of organizations, including government sites from Pakistan and Sudan.

I’ve sent out an inquiry to the airport’s representative to find out if they can comment on the hackers’ claims. So far they haven’t responded, but I’ll update this post in case they do.
