This could be a very smart or a very stupid move

With celebrities on high alert protecting any nude photos they stored in the cloud, Jackass cast member Steve-O decided to swim against the tide and test the hackers’ skills by daring them to break into his iCloud account and steal all nudity content they encounter.

He initiated the #HackSteveO campaign on Twitter, which is as reckless a challenge as the stunts he performed on the show; that, or his devices benefit from some sort of top-notch security that can deflect malicious attempts of any sort.

Getting access to his iCloud does not necessarily need to be done by finding a flaw in Apple’s recently added security measures, but through social engineering.

With enough information about the target, and given he is a public person with lots of details posted online, a hacker could trick him into typing the credentials into a fake page that delivers the data to the attacker.

Having two-factor authentication enabled makes this more difficult, but not impossible. Targets with more security than this have fallen victim, and spear-phishing is a powerful method to learn information about the “mark” and to compromise their accounts.

However, this could also be a way to divert hackers (at least some of them) from targeting other celebrities, females for the most part.
