Hackers are continuously attacking vulnerable targets but sometimes, they are looking to infiltrate into one of the most known companies. As you surely know, Microsoft is one of the most attacked firms, numerous hackers trying to exploit vulnerabilities and connect to their computers. It seems like the security company Symantec is now the most attracting target for hackers because it owns much more security tools than the provider of the well-known Windows operating system.

Symantec
is often identified as the company that developed Norton Antivirus, one of the leaders of the security utilities currently on the market. Although it is very powerful, the security experts discovered numerous flaws to be exploited and make affected computers even more powerful. Because Microsoft is one of the most accessible and vulnerable victims, the hackers are now bored and are looking for a more challenging target for their attacks.

"However, there are some simple steps businesses can take to help protect themselves. Besides ensuring that anti-virus software is regularly updated (this goes without saying), the most obvious one is educating users. Education, education, education - it is the best way for businesses to ensure that users can identify potential risks and think before they click. Let's be honest, the best hacker in the world would be out of a job if users didn't open infected applications in the first place!" Tom Newton, product manager at SmoothWall, said.

Let's hope that Symantec will manage to defend themselves against these malicious attacks because the security of numerous computers from all around the world depends on the solutions provided by the company. So, if one of the most powerful security companies in the world becomes vulnerable to attacks and can be exploited, it's obvious the users are almost opened to attacks.
