The last hacker that took part in our series called Hackers around the world, D35m0nd142, found another major website as being vulnerable. This time the flaw is present on the official international website of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

Unlike other operations in which the gray hat only published some information to prove that the sites were vulnerable, this time he took the time and contacted the website’s administrators.

We have also contacted the site in question to see if anything has been done to address the issue, especially since a couple of days have passed since they were allegedly alerted by the hacker.

D35m0nd142 is known as a gray hat that managed to find vulnerabilities in some high profile websites, including CIA, NASA and MySQL, but he never caused any damage intentionally.

Stay tuned to see how NATO responds to our inquiry and in the meantime you can check out the great interview we’ve had with D35m0nd142.
