phlpost.gov.ph, the official website of the Philippine Postal Corporation (PhlPost) has been breached and defaced by a hacker that uses the online moniker “Dbuzz.”

According to GMA News, the attack took place early Friday.

“HACKED by Dbuzz... Creditz To: Black Angels || Brian Kamikaze | Pak RT |,” the hacker wrote on the defaced website.

Currently, the defacement page has been removed, but the website has not been restored.

The hack attack took place shortly after the Philippines government announced its plans to migrate all state-owned websites to the hosting services of the country’s Department of Science and Technology.

The process, which targets over 100 websites, is expected to last up to a few months. During the move, the sites will undergo security checks and auditing. In addition, they will also be redesigned.
