A customized Xbox 360, autographed Apple products and other cool items will be offered

Hackers and security enthusiasts from all over the world are getting prepared for the Hack in the Box 2012 Kuala Lumpur (HITB2012KUL) security conference that will take place between October 8 and October 11. Besides the usual activities, this edition will also host a charity auction whose goal is to raise funds for cancer patients.

The charity auction will close the conference on the evening of October 11 with a number of impressive items being offered.

The list includes Apple iOS items such as iPad and iPhone covers signed by all the members of the Chronic Dev Team, and a special HITB Xbox 360 console customized and donated by Microsoft.

An autographed copy of Bruce Schneier’s latest book – Liars and Outliars -, iconic Pirate Bay t-shirts, the arrest warrant of the founder of Zone-H, and other collectibles will also be auctioned.

The money raised will go to The Needy Cancer Patient Fund of the Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital in Penang, Malaysia.
