“Monday I start on the security team at Twitter. Looking forward to working with a great team there!” Charlie Miller wrote yesterday on his Twitter account.

The name of the ex-NSA employee has made a lot of headlines in the past months. In November 2011 he was banned from Apple’s developer program after he used a sneaky method to demonstrate an iOS code signing bug.

Around one month later, he shared his expertise with the United States Department of Defense.

Even more recently, for this year’s Black Hat USA security conference, Miller focused his attention to vulnerabilities in NFC-enabled devices. He demonstrated that near-field communication (NFC) technology can be successfully used to steal files and even take complete control of a device.

The details of his collaboration with Twitter are unknown, but his expertise will certainly be of use to the company, which has experienced a lot of difficulties in the past period.
