HWMonitor is one of the apps that can provide plenty of useful details regarding your computer, including hard disk drive temperatures and information based on the sensors underneath the hood of your PC.

Thanks to an update released today, the application can now work with even more processors, including Intel Haswell-E, Core i7-4770R and Core i5-4570R Crystal Well, but also with a handful of Fujitsu mainboards.

Here are all new processors and mainboards supported by this new version:

Intel Haswell-E, Core i7-4770R and Core i5-4570R Crystal Well, Celeron Haswell (G1830, G1820). AMD Athlon 5350 & 5150, Sempron 3850 & 2650 (Kabini), A10-7850K, A10-7800, A10-7700K, A8-7600, A6-7400K, A4-7300 (Kaveri), A6-6420K, A4-6320, A4-4020 (Richland). Nuvoton NCT6106 and SMSC SCH5636 SIOs (Fujitsu mainboards).

As you most likely know by now, the application offers support for all Windows versions on the market and comes with a very clean interface that makes it very easy to read the information displayed about your hardware. You can easily read temperature values, save monitoring data, and check for driver and BIOS updates, all from the main window of the app.

At the same time, the program can also provide notebook-specific information, such as battery information, including voltage, charge level, wear and capacity values.

Of course, it can also keep an eye on fan speeds, including those of the CPU, power supply and system fans, in order to help you diagnose and issues that could appear due to overheating. Obviously, this also depends on the sensors that your computer comes with.

The developing team guarantees that the app can ready information from the majority of sensors hiding underneath the PC case.

“HWMonitor is a hardware monitoring program that reads PC systems main health sensors : voltages, temperatures, fans speed. The program handles the most common sensor chips, like ITE IT87 series, most Winbond ICs, and others. In addition, it can read modern CPUs on-die core thermal sensors, as well has hard drives temperature via S.M.A.R.T, and video card GPU temperature,” the official description of the app reads.

Support for all Windows versions on the market continues to be offered, so you can download and install HWMonitor no matter if you're running Windows XP or the newly-launched Windows 8.1 Update.

Overall, this update should clearly come in handy to those using new hardware, so download HWMonitor 1.25.0 right now to get the support for these new processors, especially if you've recently upgraded your computer.
