Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation is getting ready for the closing of its HTC Watch movie watching service in a series of markets in Europe, and it has already confirmed such plans, it seems.

The company announced that it would be shutting down the service in Denmark, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, and Sweden by May 31, a recent article on Engadget reads.

Apparently, the company took this decision based on the fact that HTC Watch enjoyed reduced traffic in these countries. The service might be shut down in Italy first, in mid-May, it seems.

“As we continue to deliver new content for HTC Watch, we've made the decision to focus our efforts on markets with the highest engagement. After May 31, we'll discontinue support for HTC Watch in countries with less application traffic,” the company reportedly announced.
