A new HTC tablet PC running under Google's Android operating system might be brought to the market in the near future, some of the latest reports around the Internet suggest.

On June 27th, the mobile phone maker might bring to the spotlight the said new device during an event set to take place in London.

A recent article on Planet Android notes that the company might indeed plan on unveiling the new device during the said event, and that the tablet PC might be one and the same HTC Puccini slate that was rumored not too long ago to be on its way to AT&T in the United States market.

The HTC Puccini would succeed the company's Flyer tablet PC, which was launched earlier this year with Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system on board, and with a 7-inch touchscreen display.

The new device would be much larger, sporting a 10-inch touchscreen display, the same as Motorola's XOOM, or Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Moreover, it is expected to pack a dual-core application processor inside, which should translate into increased performance capabilities.

When released, the tablet PC might run under the Android 3.1 Honeycomb operating system, or even under the newly announced Android 3.2 platform version.

Rumor has it that the device might sport LTE capabilities when released at AT&T, and that it could arrive on shelves in other markets as well in the near future, but with different connectivity capabilities.

Of course, nothing was confirmed on this for the time being, and the tablet PC might sport completely different hardware when made available on shelves.

There is also the possibility that HTC would launch other devices during the said event in London, such as the previously spotted Kingdom and Rider, rumor has it, but nothing was confirmed on this either.

One way or the other, all should become official as soon as Monday, June 27th, to stay tuned for more on this.
