Beats Audio has been an important feature for HTC’s Android devices for quite some time now, and the company has reportedly decided to include the technology in its upcoming Windows Phone 8 handsets as well, it seems.

The first WP8 phone to arrive on shelves with Beats Audio inside is said to be the HTC Accord, supposedly en-route to shelves as Windows Phone 8X by HTC.

The 4.3-inch smartphone should sport a special Beats Audio Windows Phone application at launch, enabling users to control the output on the handset.

Accord will also feature the Beats Audio logo on the back, the same as other HTC smartphones, rumor has it.

Apparently, other Windows Phone 8 handsets from HTC might also feature the technology, including the Zenith and Rio.

HTC is expected to announce smartphones powered by Microsoft’s upcoming OS in the coming weeks, and specific info on their hardware capabilities will become available at that time.
