Yesterday, HTC unveiled to the world its first two smartphones running under Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system, and announced that they would be released in November.

In the US, HTC’s Windows Phone 8X, the higher-spec’d of the two, is expected to arrive on the networks of AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile, and might go for $199 on contract.

Nothing has been officially confirmed on the matter for the time being, but Engadget reports that both AT&T and T-Mobile are rumored to plan launching it at this price point.

Although HTC confirmed the upcoming availability of the phone, none of the three wireless carriers made available info on the handset’s release date, nor on its pricing.

Hopefully, it won’t be long before that happens, especially since Windows Phone 8X seems to be a pretty decent smartphone.
