Soon, mobile phone users in the United States will be able to purchase the first Windows Phone 8 devices coming from Taiwanese handset vendor HTC Corporation, as carriers have already started testing on them.

The newly unveiled Windows Phone 8X by HTC has been spotted in San Francisco late last week, in a setup next to other devices, all suggesting that carriers are currently trying to figure out how well it can perform on their networks.

Nothing has been officially confirmed on this for the time being, but it should not be too long before info emerges, as the handset is expected to be released on shelves in about a month or so.

In the United States, the new handset is said to arrive at T-Mobile, yet other carriers might also pick it up.
