Both appear to be more cost-appealing than competitive products

Starting with November, mobile phone users in select markets around the world will be able to put their hands on HTC’s first smartphones powered by Windows Phone 8, and some more info on their possible price tags has emerged.

The company’s first two such smartphones, namely the Windows Phone 8X and 8S, have already made an appearance online over at Unlocked-Mobiles as available for pre-order.

Users interested in grabbing one of these handsets will find the Windows Phone 8X available at £398.98 ($646 / €500), while the Windows Phone 8S can be seen listed at £224.98 ($364 / €282).

Both new smartphones have been made official yesterday during a press event that HTC held in New York City, and both have been confirmed to arrive on shelves starting with November this year.

Featuring a 1.5 GHz Dual-Core Snapdragon S4 processor inside, the new HTC 8X also sports a 4.3-inch (720 x 1280 pixels) Super AMOLED touchscreen display.

The handset was packed with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with LED flash and support for 1080p HD recording, as well as with a 2.1MP camera on the front to enable video calling.

Windows Phone 8X by HTC also comes to the market with a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities, as well as with NFC, GPS receiver, and 16GB of internal memory.

As for Windows Phone 8S, it was unveiled to the world with a smaller, 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) LCD Display, while being powered by a 1 GHz Dual-Core Snapdragon application processor.

Packing 4GB of internal memory, the smartphone also comes with a microSD memory card slot with support for additional storage, as well as with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back. The usual set of sensors and connectivity options were included in the new handset as well.

Running under Windows Phone 8, both handsets can deliver a great internet browsing experience, along with support for a wide range of applications and games available through the Windows Phone Store.
