Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation is expected to bring to the market during the ongoing year a nice range of new devices, many of which would be powered by Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 operating system, and the recently leaked HTC Omega and HTC Eternity would be among them, it seems.

We already learned the company would aim at launching Windows Phone handsets like the HTC Bresson, or the HTC Ignite and Prime, but it seems that even more of them are in the works.

In a recent article, the guys over at WMPoweruser unveiled the upcoming availability of the two devices, although they did not offer specific info on the markets, carriers or release time frame for them.

Some of the specifications these two devices would sport when made available for purchase were unveiled as well, including the fact that both of them would be powered by 1.5GHz application processors.

Moreover, rumor has it that these devices would pack 8-megapixel photo snappers on the back, and that they would also include DLNA support.

The two devices should be released on shelves sometime towards the end of the year, which means that they would both run under the next version of Windows Phone, called Mango.

The HTC Omega would be the smaller of the two, and the cheaper one we presume, with a 3.8-inch SLCD touchscreen display on the front, though it would sport about the same features as the Eternity, it seems.

The HTC Eternity would be a higher-end device, packing a 4.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen display on the front, and said 8 megapixel camera with LED flash on the back. It would also sport microHDMI out port.

For the time being, however, the existence of these devices is only a rumor, as HTC did not trademark the names for them yet, and there is no other reference to them anywhere else on the Internet.

Hopefully, these two smartphones would prove being more than just a simple rumor, so keep an eye on this space for additional info on the matter.
