Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation is reportedly the first vendor to bring an official Windows Phone device to China.

The company is already accepting orders for a Windows Phone 7.5 Tango-powered mobile phone in the country, the latest reports on the matter unveil.

Apparently, HTC's first Chinese flagship store in Beijing is offering users the possibility to reserve a high-end Windows Phone that packs a 4.7-inch screen, Sina Weibo's Zāng Zhì Yuān reports.

The device is none other than the HTC Titan smartphone that went official in September last year, and which will make it to China under the name of Triumph.

The smartphone features a price tag of ¥4,399 (about $700 / 530 Euro) if purchased without the signing of a contract agreement.

During the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last week, HTC did say that they were the first company to have Windows Phone handsets available for purchase in China, yet they did not offer details on the actual release date.

Except for the fact that the handset will be called HTC Triumph and that it will run under the new Tango OS flavor, there are not too many differences that can be spotted at the moment between the original Titan and the Chinese version, based on the photo available courtesy of Weibo.

The handset will be released on the Chinese market with Sina Weibo, Tencent Weixin and SkyDrive integration, replacing the usual Facebook and Twitter social features.

HTC is not the only company planning locally relevant customizations for its Windows Phone devices in China. Nokia also confirmed plans to include such features with its devices aimed at the local market, though we have yet to learn specifics on the matter.

HTC was the first vendor to make a Windows Phone available for Chinese users, but others will follow soon. Keep an eye on this space to learn more on this.
