Recently, Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation officially announced plans to make its HTC Zoe application available for Android smartphones coming from other vendors out there, and the company kept its promise this week.

The mobile software is now available for download for select devices running under Android 4.4 KitKat and newer OS flavors, though it is only in beta for the time being.

The application has been developed so as to provide owners of HTC handsets with the possibility to easily create highlight videos in a professional manner, while also enabling them to easily share these creations.

Users can select various photos and videos, apply a filter to them, add an audio track, and easily share the resulting video with their friends.

Moreover, users are also provided with the possibility to remix these videos, and they can also allow their friends to do so. Thus, the best photos and videos from multiple people can be added to the clip.

“Zoe is a simple way to create, share and remix professional quality highlight videos—and it’s even better when your friends pitch in,” HTC notes.

“Choose the photos and videos you’d like to share, add a filter to give your highlight video a unique look, and choose the perfect soundtrack. Bring shared moments to life by inviting friends to remix your video, and remix theirs!”

With HTC Zoe, you can easily capture, remix, and then share important, fun, life moments with the world, the Taiwanese mobile phone maker notes.

Moreover, the company explains that, during the public beta period, the team of developers behind Zoe will listen to what users have to say about the application, so that new features, fixes, and other enhancements could be added to it.

Some of the main features of the HTC Zoe beta application include the possibility to easily send highlight videos directly to friends, along with the option to invite them to remix these clips.

Moreover, the app enables users to instantly share creations on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, and more, and to interact with friends through giving and receiving likes and comments.

With this app, videos can be shared either publicly or privately (friends only), HTC notes. Apparently, there is no limit to the number of videos that one can upload.

You can find the ZTE Zoe Beta application available for download via the Google Play store today. As mentioned above, it will work only on select devices, though we suspect that HTC will make it available for more of them soon.
