Recently, Taiwanese phone maker HTC Corporation has been rumored to plan the release of a certain HTC Zara smartphone before the end of this year, and new reports on the matter suggest that the device might be powered by Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform.

According to an article on China Times, HTC is set to make a new Windows Phone device official at IFA 2013 in Berlin in September, although no other info on it has been provided.

However, WMPoweruser notes that this handset might prove to be the HTC Zara, which has already been said to sport a plastic design, similar to the company’s 8S and 8X smartphones.

Furthermore, rumor has it that the phone could prove to be the previously rumored Windows Phone 8-powered flavor of HTC One, which might pack a full HD touchscreen display.
