Busy day for HTC. Four new powerful smartphones have just been unveiled, with HTC Wings S730 being one of them. The handset has already some fans that love its two keypads and large screen, just waiting for it to hit the market.

HTC S730 is actually the successor of the S710 smartphone that brings stronger hardware and more evolved data transfer solutions. This is a 3G enabled handset, just as all the newly launched devices. The technology is a highly important one, especially when talking about evolved mobile phones that handle large amounts of personal data.

The phone runs on a 400MHz processor, which means fast response to commands and the possibility of running a large number of various applications on it. It comes equipped with Windows Mobile 6 and 256MB Flash memory, which can be increased through a microSD card slot.

What really makes HTC Wings S730 special is the fact that it comes equipped with two keypads, a numeric and a QWERTY one, that make entering large amounts of text easy and comfortable. It certainly adds to the phone's sizes but also increases functionality. The 2.4 inch TFT LCD screen is still large enough for making the phone feel comfortable when used.

HTC Wings S730 also brings EDGE connectivity, aside from the 3G one, as well as Bluetooth, USB and Wi-Fi to make the package complete. The handset comes equipped with a 2 megapixel camera that will manage to take average quality images. It's far from the top performances, but this device relies mostly on its keypads for appealing to the users that usually enter a large amount of text in their devices, whether it's in emails or just business documents.

The smartphone should start shipping in Europe this month. The exact date of its release or its price have not been revealed by the producer.
